THE HEALING POWER OF LIGHT
Our Wellness Philosophy
If health feels confusing or out of reach—you’re not alone.
Like many others, we’ve spent years diving into health podcasts, chasing the latest trends, and trying to find the “right” formula for wellness and longevity.
But what if the answer is far simpler than we imagined!
What if the foundation for health doesn’t come from hacks or extremes, but from the simple understanding of what fuels our cells—and what breaks them down?
We have cardiologists for the heart, neurologists for the brain, pulmonologists for the lungs—but there’s no such thing as a “mitochondriologist.” Yet mitochondria are the power plants of the cell, fueling every organ and every system. They’re what keep the heart beating, the brain firing, and the muscles moving. If mitochondria falter, the whole body pays the price.
REDOX WELLNESS HELPS FILL IN THOSE GAPS—FOCUSING FIRST ON CELLULAR HEALTH!
Thanks to the work of Dr. Gerald Pollack and others, we now have a clearer understanding of what fuels our cells and the vital role natural elements like light, water, breath, and the earth play in supporting our health.
Exclusion Zone Water
Dr. Gerald Pollack’s lab has shown that when water is next to a hydrophilic (water-loving) surface and infrared light is shone on it, the water undergoes charge separation, creating positive and negative polarities and forming a kind of water battery. Pollack calls this water Exclusion Zone (EZ) water.
HYDROPHILIC SURFACE + WATER + INFRARED LIGHT = ENERGY
What’s fascinating is that the human body is full of hydrophilic surfaces—cell membranes, proteins, nucleic acids, connective tissue, and more. In other words, one of the key ingredients for this process is everywhere inside us.
And then there’s water itself. We often hear that the body is about two-thirds water by volume, but here’s the more striking fact: 99% of the molecules in your body are water.
So, let’s put this together: our bodies are packed with hydrophilic surfaces, nearly all of our molecules are water, and the most abundant energy source on Earth, the Sun, consists of about 43% infrared light.
Remember it’s infrared light that expands the charge separation of water. Taken together, that’s pretty compelling evidence for an energy system in the body that runs directly on light.
Another Way Light Powers Our Cells
Light also powers us through another channel—by boosting ATP production in the mitochondria. So light supports energy in at least two fundamental ways: by structuring the water in our cells, and by increasing ATP output.
But, the truth is, no scientist or doctor can say for sure how much of our energy comes from ATP and how much comes from EZ water. Many biophysicists admit there are “holes” in the current energy budget of the human body using the ATP energy model.
Some cellular processes seem to demand more energy than ATP alone can deliver. That’s part of why Pollack’s work is so compelling—it suggests there’s a missing piece we’ve been overlooking.
Implications for Modern Living
Now that we understand the importance of light, it’s not surprising that as more people have moved indoors and away from natural sunlight, health has steadily declined even with all the rapid advancements in technology.
For most of human history, sunlight was woven into daily life—we rose and slept with it, worked under it, and absorbed its full spectrum every day. Now, spending nearly 90% of our time indoors under artificial light, we’re missing the very wavelengths that charge our cellular water and keep our biology running smoothly.
The result? Less structured water, less energy, and a body more vulnerable to fatigue, poor sleep, inflammation, and chronic disease.
Long story short… get as much natural sunlight as you can. If you’re concerned about UV, head out more in the morning or evening when levels are much lower. In the winter, when the days are shorter, you may want to supplement with infrared sauna and red light therapy. Your cells will thank you!

The Five Essentials
True healing begins when we reconnect with the elements and restore the body’s natural ability to generate and sustain energy at the cellular level—while limiting the things that deplete it. With this understanding, we can begin making more empowered, aligned choices for our health.
Bathe in Natural Sunlight
Getting out in the sun is one of the most powerful and natural ways to support the formation of EZ water in the body. Morning sunlight, in particular, helps regulate your circadian rhythm, enhance mitochondrial function, and elevate mood. Just 10–20 minutes of early sun exposure on your skin and eyes—without sunglasses or sunscreen—can significantly boost cellular hydration, energy production, and overall sleep quality.
Drink High Quality Water
EZ water is formed from the water we consume, but contaminants like heavy metals, chlorine, and fluoride can disrupt the body’s ability to generate this structured water—interfering with cellular hydration and energy flow. By choosing clean, mineral-rich water, we provide our cells with the essential building blocks to form and sustain EZ water.
Eat Clean, Glyphosate-Free Food
Glyphosate, the active ingredient in many herbicides, is known to disrupt cellular function, impair mitochondrial activity, and interfere with the body's natural ability to structure water. Research suggests that glyphosate can act as an electron thief—compromising the negative charge essential for EZ water and disrupting the electrical integrity of our cells. By choosing organic, glyphosate-free foods and avoiding exposure to chemical herbicides, we reduce the toxic burden on the body and create an internal environment where EZ water can form more easily.
Ground Yourself in Nature
Grounding—also known as earthing—supports the formation of EZ water by allowing the body to absorb free electrons directly from the earth. These electrons help maintain the negative charge that EZ water requires to form and remain stable. By walking barefoot on natural surfaces like grass, soil, or sand, we reconnect with the earth’s natural electrical field, reducing inflammation, supporting mitochondrial function, and enhancing the body’s ability to generate and sustain structured water.
Reduce EMF Exposure
Reducing EMF (electromagnetic field) exposure is an important step in supporting the stability and formation of EZ water in the body. Chronic exposure to artificial EMFs from Wi-Fi, cell phones, and electrical devices can disrupt the natural charge balance in our cells, impair mitochondrial function, and weaken the structure of EZ water. By minimizing EMF exposure—such as turning off devices at night, avoiding carrying phones in pockets unless on airplane mode, and using wired connections when possible—we help preserve the body's natural electrical environment.
